Lutheran Archives, as a part of History Week, will have a display of Reformation related artefacts available to view.
‘Reformation 500: Luther’s Legacy in Australian Lutheranism’
Luther’s reformation illuminated anew central truths of grace, faith and scripture alone. Church life was transformed: the open Bible, worship and singing in the people’s language, married clergy and universal schooling.
On display are 16th century works, rare collections of medallions and stamps, and Australian church treasures.
The display will open on 10 May with two curator talks at 10.00am and 2.00pm. The display will run until April 2018, and is open during Lutheran Archives business hours (9.30am – 4.30pm weekdays except Wednesday). Gold coin donation is appreciated.
